CPS Picnic 2022 - photos below

​On Saturday August 27th the Connecticut Poetry Society held its annual Summer Picnic at the beach house of Vivian Shipley and Ed Harris in East Haven. The picnic resumed after a two year pause due to the Covid lockdown. There was plenty of food and desserts and soft drinks as about 50 poetry enthusiasts  attended on what was a beautiful sunny day and outstanding location. Attendees socialized and caught up with each other and also enjoyed an impressive open microphone reading of excellent poems.  Members of the Connecticut Poetry Society received copies of the Annual Connecticut River Review and voted to accept the new proposed by-laws for the organization.  Members who did not attend the picnic will receive their copy of the Connecticut River Review in the mail. The event was free as usual and open to everyone.
